Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry in her early years. In 1992, Kristen attended her first audition. The audition was for an appearance of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model for newspapers and television commercials. In the same year Bell also started training in private acting. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell participated in the drama and music club at Shrine Catholic High School. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. After graduation Bell relocated to New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts and was a musical theater student. in 2001 Bell quit her university in order to perform the part in the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also was the first to be credited with Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and she was only seen in the credits sequence. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
